The China-ASEAN Art College of Chengdu University is an internal complex approved by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government to actively integrate into the country’s “One Belt One Road” construction, vigorously demonstrate the charm of Tianfu culture, expand cultural exchanges with the outside world, and build a world-renowned cultural and creative city and a world-renowned cultural city at a high level. The college relies on Chengdu University’s existing art disciplines to run a school, operates in accordance with the new system and mechanism, has relatively independent autonomy in running a school, and is also a cultural and educational project supported by Chengdu.

The college has four teaching units, namely the College of Art and Design, the College of Film and Animation, the College of Music and Dance, and the International Department. There are more than 2,400 full-time undergraduate students and more than 200 master students. The current academic qualifications are There are more than 300 international students. 

The college offers 7 undergraduate majors, of which animation, visual communication design, and product design are national five-star majors. It has the right to grant a master’s degree in art and recruits master students in the fields of art design, fine arts, radio and television, and music performance.

Undergraduate application requirements

1. A non-Chinese citizen with good conduct, good health, and a foreign passport holding a diploma equivalent to an ordinary Chinese high school graduation.

2. Academic level

Excellent academic performance, please provide the following transcripts (including but not limited to):

2.1 Official transcripts (original and notarized copies in Chinese or English) provided by the school with the highest degree;

2.2 The national/regional unified high school graduation examination transcripts must be original or notarized copies, and notarized translations must be provided for texts in languages other than Chinese or English;

2.3 Internationally accepted standardized test scores (such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB, etc.);

2.4 Graduation certificates and degree certificates (for fresh graduates are expected graduation certificates), must be original or notarized copies, and notarized translations must be provided for texts in languages other than Chinese or English;

2.5 Other supporting materials.

3. Good English proficiency, applicants whose native language is not English must provide TOEFL/IELTS or English proficiency certificates recognized by other countries or regions.

4. As of September 1, 2020, applicants who are over 18 years old (inclusive); applicants who are still under 18 years of age must submit relevant supporting documents when enrolling (see Appendix 2 for details).

5. For those who were originally Chinese citizens and later became foreign nationals, the college implements the Ministry of Education Jiaowailai [2009] No. 83 document.
